Another one of Earth’s small miracles; filled with vitamins, mineral salts, amino acids, enzymes and most importantly, essential fibres.
Algae
Algae absorbs its nutrients from the surrounding water and is therefore rich in both vitamins and minerals, while also providing a splash of omega-3. Fun fact: fish can't produce omega-3 themselves, so they get their dose of omega-3 from algae as well (only in ETERNAL LIVING).
Angus
Aberdeen Angus Beef. Do we need to say more? The very finest beef in our assortment. Beef is high in protein and naturally rich in vitamins and minerals such as B Vitamins, Zinc & Iron.
Apples
Its versatility and host of nutritional benefits make it a natural choice for our FRUIT PACK. Rich source of flavonoid antioxidants which can help to protect cells from damage caused by free radicals in the body.
Bilberries
Rich in antioxidants. Included in our BERRY PACK.
Broccoli
Broccoli has been called one of the most nutritious vegetables. This might be because it's high in both fibre and vitamin C, while low in fat. It even contains the beneficial nutrient, lutein.
Brown Rice
A surprisingly nutritious ingredient that has a lot more to offer than its cousin, white rice. It's a good source of folate, riboflavin (B2), potassium, calcium, and antioxidants, and on top of that, it’s a high scorer when it comes to manganese, a little-known but nevertheless important mineral (only in ETERNAL LIVING).
Carrots
The great versatile vegetable we can’t do without. Containing carotene and various other beneficial nutrients and fibres. Part of our GARDEN PACK.
Cauliflower
Thought to help support a healthy heart. A part of our GARDEN PACK. Source of Vitamin B9 which is important for amino acid and nucleotide metabolism. Source of Vitamin A to help maintain healthy vision.
Chicken
Five Freedoms Chicken. Farm reared responsibly in the UK. All chickens are cage-free (free-run). Chicken is a lean protein source rich in essential amino acids. It is also a good source of vitamins & minerals, including B vitamins and iron.
Chickpeas
Chickpeas are high in protein and fibre, making them a popular ingredient in plant-based diets. They bring vitamins and minerals to the table as well - magnesium, potassium, copper, calcium, and vitamins A and B are all part of the package.
Cod
Cod is a lean fish and an excellent source of protein and vitamin B12.
Duck
All of our duck is responsibly sourced, and all ducks are free-run. Duck meat is a rich source of vitamins and minerals, along with healthy essential fats, like omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.
Field Beans
Field beans come in small packages but are loaded with protein, fibre, and nutrients. Among others, they provide folate, vitamin B1, and zinc (only in ETERNAL LIVING).
Freshly Prepared Eggs
An important source of protein, essential amino acids and the nutrients, lutein and choline (B-vitamin). Freshly prepared eggs from cage free chickens.
Ginger
Source of Potassium to help with nerve and muscle function and a good source of Calcium which helps maintain healthy bones and teeth. Part of our HERB PACK.
Ginseng
Has antioxidant properties.
Goji Berries
The small, red goji berries are packed with antioxidants and are particularly rich in fibre, iron, vitamin A and vitamin C.
Green Tea
Contains antioxidants which help contribute to overall health and well being. Thought to help in controlling the bacteria which may contribute to poor oral health.
Herring
A good source of Omega-3 (DHA & EPA). ESSENTIALS includes all three sources of Omega-3: ALA, DHA & EPA.
Lamb
Free-run lamb, born and bred in the United Kingdom. Lamb is a nutrient-dense, highly digestible protein source. It is also a good source of vitamin B12 and iron which are required to help keep nerve and blood cells healthy.
Lentils
Lentils are often overlooked, which is a pity because they are bursting with protein and rich in iron, making them an obvious ingredient in plant-based diets. On top of that, they contain a generous amount of B vitamins, magnesium, zinc, and potassium.
Linseed
Is often referred to as ‘nature’s gift. Rich in both Omega-3 (ALA) and plant nutrients. All three sources of Omega-3 have been included in ESSENTIALS: ALA, DHA & EPA. Omega 3 – may help to support skin and coat condition. Omega 3 also thought to help support cognitive and visual development in puppies.
Lupin
The beans produced by the lupin plant are high in protein and fibre, and are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, particularly manganese, copper, and folate (only in ETERNAL LIVING).
Marigold
Contains a high level of the important antioxidants.
Mulberries
Sundried mulberry. Source of iron to help support normal functions of the circulatory system. A good source of Vitamin C known for it’s antioxidant properties. Part of our BERRY PACK.
Oranges
Rich in natural vitamin C. An anti-oxidant which can help support the immune system. Part of our FRUIT PACK.
Partridge
Wild Partridge, primarily from the Scottish Highlands. A unique source of animal protein.
Pears
Its versatility makes it a great choice for our meals. Part of our FRUIT PACK. Good source of dietary fibre to help normalise the gastrointestinal transit time.
Pigeon
Wild Pigeon primarily from Great Britain / The Scottish Highlands. A unique animal protein source.
Pork
Pork is a good source of protein and is rich in vitamins and minerals, such as niacin, riboflavin, vitamins B1 and B6, zinc and potassium.
Potatoes
An effective and tasty source of carbohydrates, of which there are not many in ESSENTIAL FOODS’ meals. We always aim for potatos grown and harvested in the UK. Excellent alternative to grains, suitable for dogs with grain sensitivities or intolerances good source of fibre and vitamin C.
Prebiotics
Prebiotics are compounds in food that induce the growth or activity of beneficial microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. The most common example is in the gastrointestinal tract, where prebiotics can alter the composition of organisms in the gut microbiome. In ESSENTIALS we include Mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS), Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) & alfalfa.
Rapeseed Oil
Rapeseed oil is high in unsaturated (healthy) fats and vitamins E & K, while it provides a balanced amount of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids (only in ETERNAL LIVING).
Rosemary
We use rosemary to preserve our meals; extending their lifespan as naturally and gently as possible. If stored correctly, our meals can be preserved for up to 15 months from the date of production.
Salmon
Responsibly Scottish Atlantic farmed salmon. A unique source of Omega-3 (DHA & EPA). Naturally rich in omega 3 essential fatty acids which have anti-inflammatory properties. All three sources of Omega-3 are included in ESSENTIALS: ALA, DHA & EPA.
Sea Buckthorn
Sea buckthorn offers both antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. And if that were not enough, it is also rich in flavonoids and omega-3, 6 and 7, not to mention 9 fatty acids.
Seaweed
Part of our HERB PACK. Known as a rich source of minerals and trace elements that contribute to overall health & well-being. Source of iodine which helps to maintain healthy thyroid function.
Spinach
Rich in iron, A and K vitamins. We have added it for its huge versatility. Part of our GARDEN PACK.
Spirulina
Spirulina is an algae that is particularly rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.
Sunflower Oil
Sunflower oil is growing in popularity for a reason. Not only is it rich in unsaturated (healthy) fats and contains a generous amount of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, but it also provides vitamins E & K (only in ETERNAL LIVING).
Sweet Potatoes
Sweet potatoes are a rich source of fibre as well as containing an array of vitamins and minerals including iron, calcium, selenium, and they’re a good source of most of our B vitamins and vitamin C.
Tomatoes
Has been added to provide variety in our meals. The tomato is a fruit, which not many know, and is therefore part of our FRUIT PACK.
Trout
Primarily sourced from witin in the UK, trout is natural source of omega 3 essential fatty acids.
Turkey
Carefully selected turkey and a source of essential nutrients such as riboflavin, potassium and selenium.
Venison
British venison, protein-rich and nutritionally wholesome. A good source of iron and B vitamins.
Whole Peas
Our peas are grown and harvested primarily in United Kingdom. An alternative source of protein and fibre. Part of our GARDEN PACK.
Wild Boar
Wild boar has a unique, rich flavour and provides generous amounts of protein while being relatively low in fat.
Wild Quail
Wild quail from the Scottish Highlands. A unique source of animal protein.
