Rice
White rice is a good source of easily accessible energy and contains essential carbohydrates. While it is less nutrient-dense than its whole grain counterparts, it still provides a good amount of B-vitamins and minerals like iron. White rice is easily digestible, making it ideal for dogs with sensitive stomachs.
Eggs
An important source of protein, essential amino acids and the nutrients, lutein and choline (B-vitamin). Freshly prepared eggs from cage free chickens.
Chickpeas
Chickpeas are high in protein and fibre, making them a popular ingredient in plant-based diets. They bring vitamins and minerals to the table as well – magnesium, potassium, copper, calcium, and vitamins A and B are all part of the package.
Sunflower oil
Sunflower oil is it rich in unsaturated (healthy) fats and contains a generous amount of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, but it also provides vitamins E & K.
Field beans
Field beans come in small packages but are loaded with protein, fibre, and nutrients. Among others, they provide folate, vitamin B1, and zinc
Algae
Algae absorbs its nutrients from the surrounding water and is therefore rich in both vitamins and minerals, while also providing a splash of omega-3. Fun fact: fish can't produce omega-3 themselves, so they get their dose of omega-3 from algae as well.
