You spoke, and we listened - of course
After a period with the Heartland range from our European kitchen on the shelves, we have recognised that interest in meals of this quality level has been limited. Despite being a great product, our customers clearly prefer our renowned and truly exceptional meals prepared in the UK.
Therefore, we will be phasing out the Heartland series over the coming months, or for as long as stock remains with our retailers. Going forward, we will focus on what our customers are asking for: the very best in dog and cat nutrition – our Finest British Heritage meals, which we have proudly delivered for 13 years.

I’ve purchased a bag of Heartland meals and I’m actually quite satisfied – can I still serve the food?
Yes, absolutely. Just be aware that the next time you buy a bag of ESSENTIALS, you will only be able to choose from our original British meals.
I’ve bought a Heartland meal but would like to exchange it for one of your British meals – what should I do?
No problem at all. Simply contact our customer service team – we are ready to assist you.
Can I still find Heartland products at retailers?
Yes, until they have sold out of the Heartland meals, you can still find them at selected retailers. After that, only our British meals will be available through our retailers.
Where will you produce your dry food going forward?
Exclusively in our British kitchen, and this is what you will find in the bag.
My dog currently eats Heartland meals. Can I switch directly to your British meals?
Yes, and your dog will no doubt love them. Our British meals are the finest you can give your dog and truly in a class of their own. However, we still recommend a gradual transition to allow the stomach to adjust to the new variant.
Why are you phasing out the Heartland products?
For the past 13 years, our mission has been to improve and prolong the lives of dogs. This requires meals of the absolute highest quality, and although our European kitchen delivered a solid standard, nothing compares to the quality our British meals provide. In addition, demand for meals in the Heartland quality tier has been limited.
Which kitchen have I served?
Are you unsure which kitchen you currently are serving your dog, you can check the front or the side of the bag to see whether there is an EU flag or a UK flag.
You can also find this information in your order history - look for "Our Finest" in meal name which our meals from UK all includes after 15th October 2025. If you are unsure, our customer service are ready to help you.
But how to make a trouble-free transition?
We recommend a smooth and gradual transition over 4-7 days so your dog's digestion can calmly adjust to the new protein sources.
